Jared Giddings scored in the first minute of play, and the HCI Mohawks never looked back, as they defeated the Tisdale Tornados 62-14 on Friday.

Humboldt led 13-0 after the first quarter following a 60-yard touchdown pass from Landon Seipp to Genesis Legaspi.

The Mohawks added three touchdowns in the second frame to control the game 34-7 at the break.

Giddings began the second half with another touchdown carry, while Seipp added in one of his own to make it 48-7.

Tyson Hergott added a late touchdown, securing the win.

It was the first road victory of the season for the Mohawks, who improved to 2-0 on the year.

HCI now returns home on September 25th as they welcome in the Nipawin Bears.

The Watrous Wildcats got on the board for their first win of the 2015 season, as they downed the Lazers 40-6 in Lanigan.

Watrous saw it's 14-game winning streak come to an end last week in their season opener - a 33-20 loss to Assiniboia. Following a pair of road contests to open the year, the Wildcats kick off their home schedule on Friday when they welcome Cupar for a battle of Wildcats.

Wynyard opened up it's season in emphatic fashion, scoring early and often on the road, as they downed the Watson-Naicam Raiders 78-6.

Last week, the Viscount Vikings played their first game in 35 years, and on Friday they had a homecoming game against the Central Butte Bulldogs.

After opening up the scoring on a fumble return for a touchdown, the Vikings struggled to find the endzone until the game's final play, dropping a 44-13 decision.

The Raymore Rebels continued their high-flying offence, as they improved to 3-0 with a 90-6 win over the visiting Milestone Cougars.
