The Humboldt Broncos will face the Nipawin Hawks in the first round of SJHL playoffs that fires up this weekend. But before then, the Broncos had some unfinished regular season business with the Yorkton Terriers.

The Broncos knocked off the Terriers on Friday night 7-4 in Yorkton with

another strong effort on offense. The two squads duked it out back and forth in the opening frame until the Broncos took a one-goal lead at the end of the first of a goal from defenseman Quinn Myles

Yorkton tied it up in the opening of the second period until the Broncos let loose with a string of four goals. Myles potted his second while Ethan Zielke, Ben Kotylak and Maddox Amaral all contributed.

Yorkton tried to crawl back into it late in the third, but Benjamin Motew had the wrap up well in hand.

Then it was back to the EPA on Saturday for a 7-5 Broncos win. That game saw a host of affiliated players join the squad for their first taste of SJHL action. Teigan Semchyshyn scored his first goal in the green and gold, while Carter Ralston marked his first assist.

The weekend storm put a hold on the season wrap up down south. They'll be finishing off their games early this week. The top 8 teams have been decided and the playoff schedule will be finalized with the regular season conclusion.

In the meantime, head to the Broncos office or call in to get your tickets for the round 1 series. All the action will be on 107.5 Bolt FM.
