The search for an explosive device led to the evacuation of St. Thomas More College on the U of S campus on Monday, July 18.

Alerts went out from the University at 4:10 pm advising everyone in the building to leave the premises. Shortly after the alert, a heavy police presence was reported near the building on College Ave and Bottomley Road.

A second alert went out with an evacuation advisory for adjacent buildings including the Health Sciences Building, Murray Library, the Memorial Union Building and Place Riel.

The all-clear was issued after 10:00 pm and traffic restrictions in place along College Avenue were lifted. No further details have been provided by the University or the Saskatoon Police Service.
