A preliminary hearing has been set for the man responsible for the death of three Carrot River teens in May of last year.

Normand Mark Jospeh Lavoie's lawyer appeared via phone in Melfort court Thursday morning.

The crown and Lavoie's lawyer decided upon July 12th through 13th as the hearing dates.

Lavoie is charged with three counts of criminal negligence causing death, and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm after he crashed into a vehicle at a traffic stop on Highway six near Spalding.

The vehicle containing the three teens then collided with a truck which hit another vehicle.

A flag person at the scene was also airlifted to hospital with injuries.
