The pitchers were firmly in command, but a well timed home run made the difference as the East Central AAA Red Sox edged the Saskatoon Diamondbacks 3-2 last night at James Korte Field.

Red Sox Dallen Rude pitched the entire game allowing only four hits for the Dbacks.

The Diamondbacks took an early lead thanks to a solo homer in the second by Ethan Robbins, but Marek Yeager returned the favour and launched a monster over the fence to drive in Jack Biemans and Cooper Isherwood in the 4th.

The pitchers continued to duke it out until DBack’s pitcher Cory Wouters hit a single shot homer in the 6th, but it wasn't enough for the comeback.

The Red Sox are on the road to Estevan this Friday to face the South East Twins.
