Roman Willliam Suer
May 1, 1935 – August 20, 2022

Roman was born on his family farm near Wilmont, Saskatchewan on May 1, 1935, to Louis and Mary (née Ilg) Suer. He went to Keller School and enjoyed a lifelong love of sports, especially baseball, hockey, golfing, curling, and hunting. He was an athlete to his core and a passionate Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan. Before taking over the family farm, Roman worked at various jobs. He farmed but he really wasn’t a farmer-he was a baseball player; a feared lefty who never gave the batter the plate. Roman was inducted to the Humboldt Sports Hall of Fame for his prowess on the mound and later to the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in North Battleford on a team induction. On July 6, 1960, Roman married the love of his life, Marion (née Kohnle). Roman was a constant protector of his family who he dearly loved. Roman will be missed immeasurably by his wife Marion; son Glenn (Linda) Suer; daughter Penny (Bob) Cooper; granddaughter Brandy (Clay) Wagner; grandson Keenan (Jillian) Suer; and great-grandchildren: Austin and Danica Wagner, and Avery, Oaklyn, and Quinn Suer. He was predeceased by his parents Louis and Mary (née Ilg) Suer; his siblings, Theodore, and Regina; brothers-in-law, Mike Becker, Henry Kohnle and Leo Urban; and sisters-in-law, Rose Kohnle and Rosemarie Suer. A private Funeral Service was held and interment followed at the St. Augustine Roman Catholic Cemetery, Humboldt, SK. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Augustine Roman Catholic Parish Centre (PO Box 1989, Humboldt, SK, S0K 2A0). Rest in peace, Billy Boy! We will love you forever.
