Ronald Prebushewski
April 2, 1957 – September 15, 2021

Ron was born to Anthony “Tony” and Lucy (nee Desjarlais) Prebushewski in Humboldt. Ron grew up in the city of Saskatoon where his life skills and friendships grew. He met his wife Florence in 1977, they were married in 1984 and reside in the city of Regina until the purchase of the hotel in Preeceville in 1987. They moved to Calgary in 1995 where Ron worked for the City of Calgary. Then in 1999 they moved to Vancouver Island where Ron worked for the City of Victoria. Ron retired in 2017 and they made the move to Lumby BC where they reside until Ron’s passing. From childhood to his passing, Ron was very active with numerous organizations and helped with fund raising for several different charities. Ron always had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone who need a hand. He will be truly missed. Ron is survived by his loving wife Florence and their children Carrie (Dennis) Somogyi and Jason (Kim) Borys; grandchildren Abbey Somogyi (Aaron), Brooke-Lyn (Gary) Hluszko, Carter Somogyi, Tatum Borys and great grandson Walter Hluszko; sister Valerie McDonald; nephew Shane McDonald; great nephew Tobis and great nieces Shantelle Bailey, Hensleigh and Bowie-Lynn; and numerous other relatives and friends. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Tony and Lucy Prebushewski and his brother Alfred Prebushewski. A Graveside Service for Ron was held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Hwy 5 East, Humboldt, SK. Following the service, a gathering for family and friends was held at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Main Street South, Humboldt.
