Ronda Leah Patzer
August 8, 1966 – August 10, 2023

Ronda passed away August 10th, 2023, after a three month battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family when she peacefully slipped away, at the Northern Lights Regional Health Center in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Ronda was born in Humboldt, Sask. on August 8th, 1966, and was the only precious child born to Ron and Jeannie Egger. In 1973, the Egger family moved to Fort McMurray where they began a hotel business. Ronda started helping her parents and working at the hotel as a young teenager. After graduating high school, Ronda worked for a brief time as a waitress before she moved to Regina to attend SIAST for dental assisting. She worked as a dental assistant for a few years, but again returned to SIAST to upgrade her education and become a dental hygienist. Which is when she met her future husband, Kordell. In February 1994, the couple got married in Fort McMurray, only nine months after they started dating.

In 1995, the couple bought their first house together in Beacon Hill, a quiet subdivision in Fort McMurray. The newly married couple made a great team together and spent many hours and days fixing up the old house. In 1997, they started their family, they now have four beautiful children Kaley, Kory, Levi, and Aidan. She was always a caring person, and a very loving wife and mom, as her family was very important to her. As time went on and the kids grew older, Ronda retired from work as a dental hygienist to focus on spending her time with family. There was never a dull moment around the house with four kids, as there was always homework and housework to be done. Ronda was our family's biggest cheerleader, always giving love and support. She was a very hard worker who always needed everything clean and organized. She never procrastinated and was determined to complete every goal she set her sights on.

She always loved swimming, especially at Kimball Lake. Its clean water and beautiful sand made it the family’s favourite camping spot for many years. In 2012, the family bought a boat, which made camping at the lake even more fun. The kids learned to water ski and wakeboard, but bouncing and flying around on two tubes behind the boat at the same time was their favourite. Every year Ronda looked forward to her favorite time of the year, summer holidays. She always enjoyed camping at the lake. For the last couple of years, the family enjoyed going out for rides in side by sides and quads. Six Lakes which is north of Fort McMurray was her favorite spot to go out for a day trip or to camp for a few days. This summer, Six Lakes was to be the family’s summer holiday destination, but sadly it was not meant to be. Ronda passed away only two days after her 57th birthday. She had a fantastic day together with family, later she told us it was the best birthday ever. She will be dearly missed by all her loved ones. She leaves behind to celebrate her life, her husband Kordell and their four children; Kaley, Kory, Levi, Aidan, her parents; Ron and Jeannie; and many dear friends.

Psalms 40 1-3: I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many

shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. A Funeral Service for Ronda was held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from Lake Lenore Community Hall, officiated by Ron Wright.
