Rose Helen Pongracz
March 30, 1925 – May 12, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Rose Helen Pongracz, 98 years, of Middle Lake, at Humboldt District Hospital on Friday, May 12, 2023. Rose was born at Little Moose, SK on March 30, 1925 to Joseph and Katherine (nee Placsko) Schmitz the eldest of eight daughters. She obtained her education at Little Moose. Rose married John Pongracz at an early age and began their life together on the farm near Middle Lake. They were blessed with two daughters Sharon and Carol. Later Rose and John moved to Middle Lake and purchased the Middle Lake Hardware & Bulk Fuel. Rose began a career in the accounting field and did the books at the Hardware and Bulk and worked at the Middle Lake Credit Union. She thoroughly loved her life in the work field outside of her home. Rose and John were very fortunate to be able to travel to many destinations over the years together. They also enjoyed fishing. After John passed, Rose moved to the Middle Lake Units, then Birch and lastly Aspen. She loved living in all the areas of Bethany. Rose was very sociable, so living there made it easy for her to continue visiting with family and friends. Rose will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her one daughter, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren: Carol (George) Theisen of Humboldt and family: Cal ( Kim) Theisen of Humboldt and their family Brianne (Ashton) Eaton and children Ander and Ellion of Portland, OR, USA and Jessica (Evan) Jarvi and son Hayes all of Humboldt; Ward (Kassia) Theisen and his daughter Megan Theisen (Devon) all of Vancouver, BC; Son-in-law Bob (Liz) Lucas of Saskatoon and family Leslie (Alex) McIntosh and daughter Lauren all of Toronto, ON and Rob (Catherine) Lucas of Red Cliff, AB; two sisters: Fran Coquet of St Brieux and Emily Duguid of Selkirk, MB.
