Rudolph Heinrich Meyer
December 3, 1950 – April 4, 2022

Rudolph Heinrich Meyer, 71 years, of Bruno passed away at Humboldt District Hospital on Monday, April 4, 2022. Rudy was born on December 3, 1950 in Humboldt to Peter and Emma (nee Linde) Meyer. He grew up on the family farm, attending Bruno School to Grade 9. Rudy worked on the family farm for a number of years. He met Joyce Moskwa in Bruno and shortly after they were married on June 1, 1974. Rudy and Joyce lived in Bruno where they raised their two children, Keith and Trina. Rudy worked as a truck driver, driving for numerous local companies over the years, including Hillcrest, Carlson’s and Doetzel Services. In December 2021, at the age of 70, he retired. For 15 years, Rudy and Joyce were the caretakers of the St. Bruno Cemetery, working side by side to keep it looking well manicured. He enjoyed bird watching and making bird houses, snacking on popcorn, tinkering on anything that needed fixing and building things such as pot hangers and flower boxes. Rudy also enjoyed coming out to Keith’s acreage to plant a big garden and have a contest to see who could grow the best one! Farming was his life and loved every minute of it. Rudy enjoyed his horses, especially Ginger and his cats, with Putters being his favorite. Above all his grandchildren and great grandchildren held a special place in his heart and he loved spending time with them. Rudy will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 47 years, Joyce Meyer of Bruno; son Keith Meyer (Theresa Sample) of Bruno; daughter Trina (Chris) Moellenbeck of St. Gregor and family Kyle (Melissa) Moellenbeck and children Oakley, River and Remington of St. Gregor, Riley (Sonny) Malone of Shaunavon, Cara Moellenbeck (Kylan) Vidak of St. Gregor, and Kayla Moellenbeck (Chad Bauer) and baby due in July 2022 of St. Gregor; Two brothers Richard (Nora) Meyer of Valemount, BC and Harold (Dianne) Meyer of Delia, AB; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Emma Meyer. As per Rudy’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Memorial donations in Rudy’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stoke Foundation of Saskatchewan or Diabetes Canada.
