Making sure youth are informed about the dangers of risk-taking and how to prevent incidents is the main focus of Safe Communities Humboldt and Area’s P.A.R.T.Y program, which has been an ongoing event for years.

The organization's first P.A.R.T.Y (Preventing Alcohol & Risk-related Trauma in Youth) event happened for HCI students on May 3 and received very positive feedback.

Around 120 grade 9 - 10 students from the surrounding Humboldt area gathered at the Uniplex for the day-long event on May 10.

Volunteers donned makeup to take part in a mock crash scene to give students the chance to see how emergency responders handle a crash scene.
