On Thursday, February 23, the Humboldt Community Soup Kitchen is hosting its free pantry and clothing day, and the organization is going to have a little help from some high profile friends. Members of the Saskatchewan Rush lacrosse team will be helping out with the distribution of food and clothing to Humboldt Community Soup Kitchen clients from 2-4 pm at the Westminster United Church.

“We were contacted by the Saskatchewan Rush, and they offered to send some of their players to help us out with the event, “says Kari Cenciosi with the Soup Kitchen. “We decided to offer the public entry to come and meet them, visit, have coffee and goodies.”

Both patrons of the Soup Kitchen and the public are asked to use the back door of the Westminster United Church. Come on out and meet the Rush players, find out more about the soup kitchen and enjoy some warm coffee on a cold afternoon.
