There is some number juggling but the Saskatchewan Government says the province's population has grown again.

As of Canada Day, this year 1,133,637 people called the prairie province home. That's an increase of 3,100 since April 1st, 2015.

The new recorded population number is slightly lower than the reported number last quarter but Stats Canada has revised all of it's population estimates back to 2011. With the revised calculation Saskatchewan's population has grown every quarter for the past nine years.

The jump in residents was the third highest among the provinces and fourth most in the quarter.

Gains in the second quarter of this year was made up of a natural increase (births minus deaths) of 1,641 and net international migration of 2,903 offset by net interprovincial outmigration of 1,444 as the government posted in a news release.
