It took the top of an extra inning to decide it, but the Saskatoon Brewers narrowly edge the East Central 15U AAA Dodgers by a score of 3-2 last night in Muenster.

Keegan Leary of the Brewers and Dodgers' Pryor Dyck battled it out on the mound, and solid defensive play from both teams made for the tense outcome. Brewers pitchers recorded 10 strikeouts while the Dodgers posted 15.

Saskatoon made the board first in the second inning with a single by Levu Wheeler to drive in Sean Coverett. The Dodgers tied it up next inning off an Dryden Ekstrom single.

In the fourth, the two teams exchanged runs to tie the game at 2-all. Both defenses went into lockdown mode for the remainder of the regulation game.

Emmett Goetz of the Brewers broke the deadlock in the top of the 8th when he singled to score the winning run.

The White Butte Broncos are in Muenster on Saturday for a double header. Catch the action starting at noon.
