Humboldt and the surrounding areas be prepared for excess snowfall tonight and tomorrow.

There is a snowfall warning in effect. Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

A low pressure system tracking across the Prairies will bring a prolonged period of snow to much of central Saskatchewan.

Snow at times heavy will begin this evening and continue through Monday.

The snow will gradually taper off Monday overnight and into Tuesday morning. Storm total amounts will be in the 15 to 20 cm range.

Environment Canada says, "Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow."
