Motorists should have a bit smoother sailing through Humboldt going into the weekend, at least along Highways 5 and 20.

There are touch ups needed adjacent to the roadway, but the pavement on the turning lanes for 21st Street is down and restrictions have been lifted heading through Humboldt, for the moment. Roadside work and painting will continue, so motorists are advised to take care.

It’s much the same story for Highway 20 south where the majority of paving has been completed and stop lights have been removed. Work on line painting and remediation along the roadside will resume.

For the weekend, in what has been an intense construction season in the city, it’s smooth sailing through Humboldt.
