The big weekend is here so let's ring those phones!

Telemircle will be held in Saskatoon at TCU Place Saturday and Sunday.

Locals from Saskatchewan will take the stage throughout the day and night to entertain while encouraging people to call in their donations for Telemircle 41.

Telemircle has been a long running telethon in Saskatchewan: "Helping people every day."

I talked to six year Telemircle veteran Jeffery Straker about his involvement over the years:

"The first year I did it I didn't know it was going to be important to me at all. I just did it because it would be kinda neat. I knew, obviously growing up in Saskatchewan, I knew what it was. And I thought, that seems to be a fun thing to be apart of it seems exciting and once I got there like after two, three hours into the broadcast I realized like holy smokes like people are for no other reason then they want to they are giving away their money to this telethon this charity 'cause they know it will help people in Saskatchewan."

Other locals that you might recognize on the broadcast include:

The Humboldt Collegiete Students from the SRC will be helping with the total boards at 2am-5am Sunday

Winston Garage Band - Watrous - 1:50am Sunday

The HCI cheque presentation is at 12:35am Sunday

The Humboldt And District Kinettes will also be answering phones and more 6am - end of show Sunday

Cheque presentation at 9:40am

All times are approx.
