Thérèse Marie Lepage (née Tremel)
December 22, 1927 – May 3, 2022

It is with great sorrow that the family of Thérèse announces her passing on May 3, 2022. She has now gone to be with the Lord at the age of 94. Thérèse was born on December 22, 1927, at a farm east of Peterson, Saskatchewan. She was the oldest child of Jean Baptiste and Louisa (née Bruyr) Tremel. As a young girl, she attended school in Prud’homme, SK, for a few years staying with her grandparents, Louis and Alice Bruyr. Later she attended Medomsley school east of the Tremel farm. Thérèse worked on the farm with her parents and siblings. In 1953, she married Laurent Lepage and together they started a new farmstead east of the Tremel farm. It was there that they raised a family of five children. Thérèse was extremely proud of their farm. Thérèse took part in all aspects of the farm as she grew a big garden, milked cows, trucked grain, and helped out wherever needed. She had many hobbies that included knitting, crocheting, sewing, photography, gardening, and quilting. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was evident in everything she did. When younger, Thérèse and Laurent did some travelling to various destinations. As they got older, their traveling mostly included trips to the junction for coffee with friends and driving around to see what their children and grandchildren were doing on the farm. After Laurent passed away, Thérèse moved to Saskatoon eventually residing at St. Ann’s Nursing Home. She is survived by: son Lucien (Sylvia) Lepage and family Eric Lepage and Stephanie (Colton) Rink and children Thomas and Evelyn; daughter Marie (Dave) Aucoin and family Michael (Desiree) Aucoin and Jennifer (Brett) Ferguson and children Elodie, Lilah, and Aiden; son Yves (Michelle) Lepage and family Megan (Jeff) Altrogge and children Olivia and Jackson and Kelsey (Sasha) Weiman; son Philip (Dianne) Lepage and family Christopher (Andria) Lepage and children Kolby, Carter, and Austin, Kimberly (Kyle) Buckle and children Payton, Cooper, Kyla, and Gabrielle, and Daryl Lepage; Daughter Monique (Aaron) Koob and family Kevin (Zoe) Koob, Christine (Andrew) Patterson and daughter Vanessa, Dean (Reanna) Koob, and Ian Koob; sister Alice Detillieux; brother Alain Tremel; sister-in-law Edna Breese; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Laurent Lepage; parents Jean Baptiste and Louisa (née Bruyr) Tremel; her parents-in-law Delphis and Antoinette (Belanger) Lepage; brother-in-law Emile Detillieux; sister-in-law Albertine Tremel; sisters and brothers-in-law Wilfred (Germain) Lepage, Annette (Leo) Hamoline, Angela (John) Hamoline, Marthe (Horace) Syrenne, and Pierre Lepage; and her daughter-in-law Estelle (née Ferre) Lepage. The Funeral Mass was celebrated by Fr. Pius Schroh, at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church in Bruno, SK, Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. Others taking part were: Kimberly Buckle, cross bearer; Camilla Saretsky and Chet Saretsky, altar servers; Stephanie Rink and Christine Patterson, scripture readers; Jennifer Ferguson, intentions; Jeff and Megan Altrogge, gift bearers; Ron and Starr Basset, memorial table attendants. Music ministry was led by the St. Bruno Parish Choir and soloists Trevor and Nicole Wingerter. Active pallbearers were: Daryl Lepage, Ian Koob, Michael Aucoin, Eric Lepage, Christopher Lepage, Kevin Koob, Dean Koob, and Kelsey Weiman, and, “All those who shared in Thérèse’s life,” were noted as honorary pallbearers. Lunch took place at the Bruno Community Hall, followed by the interment at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Peterson, SK. The family of Therese Lepage would like to thank St. Ann’s Nursing Home for their excellent care of Mom and all those who participated in Mom’s funeral mass. Thérèse will be forever remembered and missed, may she Rest in Peace.
