Humboldt’s Big Brothers Big Sisters program holds many events, but one of its biggest events is its annual Diva for a Day event.

“Diva golf tournament has made a pretty big name for itself in Humboldt, the ladies like to come out and have some fun. It’s not really about the golf, more about the fundraiser itself and just having some fun,” says Tammy Ruedig, Fundraising and Program Support for Big Brothers Big Sisters Humboldt.

The tournament this year will be held Saturday, June 10, with the theme being a Hawaiian luau.

“Gather your friends, get your costumes ready, and get ready to raise some money for the kids and have a good time.”

Registration for the event opens on April 3, and the organization is looking for 144 participants.

Big Brothers Big Sisters are once again holding a caddie auction alongside the event.

“If you’d like to be a caddie, it’s always a good time. We like to find 10 - 12 caddies to auction off, it’s always a big hit at the tournament. If you’re interested in that, definitely reach out.”
