Tonight, Thursday, May 16, promises to be an exciting night at the Humboldt and District Gallery as a special guest arrives with a pair of opportunities for art lovers.

ᑌᐸᑯᐦᑊ/Tepakohp/7 is a gallery exhibit on now. Seven Indigenous women are participants in the display, and one of them, artist Melanie Monique Rose, will be at the Gallery on May 16 for an artist talk from 6:30 to 7:15 pm. The talk is free and open to the public.

Following the opening talk, Rose will lead a workshop for those 14 years and up where participants will use botanicals to create their own unique silk scarf design. The cost of the workshop is $25 for supplies and $20 for the program.

The event is supported by the Organization of Saskatchewan Arts Council.
