On June 17, at 6:24 AM, Wakaw/Hoodoo Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire within the town of Wakaw. 

Two Rescue Engines and a Command Unit responded to the scene. Upon arrival, Firefighters did a scene assessment of the building and found a water supply. 

Firefighters were able to make entry into the building and search for any occupants and performed ventilation tactics on the building, successfully stopping the fire within the hour. A heavy overhaul of the main floor was done to contain all the hot spots. 

SaskEnergy and SaskPower also responded to the scene, and no damage estimate is available at this time.
