The town of Watson is gearing up for an exciting weekend with its 91st annual Santa Claus Weekend.

It all kicks off on Friday, December 2nd, with a classic Filipino supper by the Watson Filipino families from 5:30 - 8:30 pm at the Watson Civic Centre.

While grabbing some supper, there is plenty to do, such as some late-night shopping, a trade show, and a library bake sale from 6 - 8:30 pm at the New Horizons.

Santa will be stopping by the Affinity Credit Union for pictures with the children from 6 - 8 pm.

There is plenty to do on your Friday night in Watson. There will be team sleigh races, fun children's activities at the Watson Civic Centre, and auctions, and the night leads up to a giant Christmas Tree Lighting before a fireworks display takes place at the Civic Centre lawn at 8:45 pm.

Everything resumes the next day with a pancake breakfast taking place at New Horizons from 8:30 - 10:30 am followed by a family skate with Santa from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm at the Watson Arena.

There will be holiday-themed displays at the Watson Museum to browse around throughout the day, with a free kid's movie and another visit from Santa at the Watson School Library taking place at 2 pm.

After the kid's movie, a deadlift competition for Watson SCC will take place from 3 - 4:30 pm in the Watson School Gym.

The weekend will wrap up with the 27th supper with Santa.

Entertainment will start at 5:00 pm, at the Watson Civic Centre. Supper will begin at 6 pm at $15 an adult, $10 for 12 years old and younger, and preschoolers eat for free. A $40 family rate is also offered.

It is set to be a fun-filled weekend with Santa in Watson.
