Lake Lenore is hosting its first and one-of-a-kind Mind, Body and Spirit Fair this Saturday, May 13 at the Lake Lenore Community Hall. It’s a day of learning about holistic wellness from a host of presenters and vendors, says Leanne Brinkman, one of the organizers.

“Bev Silzer and I have been talking for a couple of years about bringing this to the area,” Brinkman explains. “This was the perfect time. We have 30 vendors from all over Saskatchewan but also local vendors. We also have three speakers as well during the day.”

Speakers include Diana Lee Koenning, talking about her book Silently Said and a family’s journey through addiction and toward healing. Andrea Bauer is going to take attendees through a  little chair yoga practice. Brinkman will be presenting, along with Touch of Vitality, to talk about wellness through energy work.

“We want to see people enjoy themselves and be happy,” Brinkman says. “We want to show different types of experiences that people can have with different practitioners in the area. We want to open up people’s minds.”

Among the vendors will be palm readers, access bars practitioners, Reiki practitioners and mediums. Patrons can check out practices such as Chakra alignment and reflexology. Craft vendors with pottery and plants will also be on hand.

The idea is to come, learn and have fun, which Brinkman says is a critical part of wellness.

The fair goes from 10 am to 4 pm at the Lake Lenore Community Hall. Lunch will be available.

“Come and bring your moms and dads - Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are right around the corner. Come have lunch and see what we have to offer.”
