Travel is not recommended on Highway around the Humboldt area. An overnight build up of ice and rough snow has made driving treacherous. Continued snowfall today with driving winds will continue to make roadways a challenge until daytime heating and improving conditions take effect.

The calendar might say spring has sprung but mother nature has something else planned.

As more snow falls from the sky the next few days could potentially have harsh driving conditions.

The Humboldt region is looking to see 2 - 4cm overnight Tuesday and the system will continue until Friday.

At times, the snow could change to rain and back to snow depending on the temperature.

Snow and rain mixed with the high wind will increase the likelihood of poor driving conditions in the region.

Ensure you check the highway hotline before heading out on the roads.
