Broncos Strizzi and Tritt recognized in SJHL Weekly Award Winners
A pair of familiar names from the Humboldt Broncos have found themselves back among the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s (SJHL) Players of the Week. Jacob Strizzi has been named the SGEU MVP of the Week. In three games, Strizzi had goals in all three games and ended the week with 6 points (5G-1A). The Vaughan, ON native leads the SJHL in goals with 13 through the Broncos first 11 games. Goaltender Charlie Tritt was recognized as the SaskTel Goalie of the Week. In the two games he played last week, the 20-year-old netminder was 2-0, with 1.50 GAA, .961 SV%. On Saturday night, Tritt recorded his third shutout of the season making 35 saves against the Battlefords North Stars. Tritt leads the league in goalie wins, save percentage, and goals-against-average among starters through the early portion of the SJHL season. Here are the remaining weekly award winners in the SJHL.
