Lillian Ramler
September 13, 1927 – May 1, 2016

The peaceful death of Lillian (nee Sarauer) Ramler of Humboldt  SK, (and formerly of Annaheim, SK), occurred at Humboldt District Hospital on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the age of 88 years.  Lillian was born on September 13, 1927, to John and Mary (nee Braun) Sarauer in Humboldt. On June 28, 1949, she married Alvin Ramler and they raised a family of six children on a farm south of Annaheim. In 1990, they moved to a house in Humboldt and in the spring of 2011, Lillian moved into Caleb Village.  Lillian is survived by three sons, two daughters, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren:   Leon (Corinne) Ramler of Airdrie, AB, and family, Amy, and  Andrew (Christina); Aaron’s wife, Donna and children Connor and Evyn; Ken Ramler of Saskatoon and family, Jordan (Leisha), Geoff, and Shelbi (Mike) Touhey and son Leo; Don (Joan) Ramler of Regina and family, Jay and Carter; Gwen (Lionel) Doepker of Annaheim and family, Evan (Shawna) and children Brooklyn and Joshua, Grant (Christina) and daughter Bree, and Brad (Bobbyjo) and sons Daryl and Ryder; and Cindy Ramler of Wynyard.  She is also survived by four brothers: Roman, Bernard, Richard (Val), and Walter (Marcella); sister-in-law Mary Ramler; and many nieces and nephews. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Alvin (2006); son Kelly (2014);  grandson Aaron (2015); one brother; four sisters; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.  The Funeral Mass was held at St. Augustine R.C. Church, Humboldt, on Thursday, May 5, at 2:00 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Cosmas Epifano, OSB.  Others taking part were:  Jay Ramler, cross bearer; Ken Ramler, urn bearer; Amy Ramler and Grant Doepker, scripture readers; Joshua Doepker, intentions; Brooklyn Doepker, Carter Ramler, Bree Doepker, Ryder Doepker, Connor Ramler, Evyn Ramler, and Leo Touhey, gift bearers; Jean Mamer and Eric Sarauer, memorial table attendants.  The eulogy was delivered by Cindy Ramler.  Interment followed at St. Augustine R.C. Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be directed to either the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Brain Cancer Foundation of Canada, or  the Humboldt and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care.
