July 19, 1960 – June 11, 2017

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Mark Tokarski of Watson, SK, announces his sudden passing at Fort McMurray, AB.  He was 56 years of age. Mark was born on July 19, 1960 in Watson Saskatchewan to Olga and Mike Tokarski. Mark was raised on the family farm and eventually took over the family homestead and continued to farm in his father’s footsteps for many years. Mark married Darlene Bakstad on July 3, 1982 and they were about to celebrate their 35th Anniversary this year. He had a love for the outdoors including hunting, fishing, golfing, hockey and snowmobiling.  Mark was also a proud hockey Dad and enjoyed travelling to Dustin’s hockey games, and he shared a special bond with his daughter Sierra during their hunting trips together. He was great with small engines and always willing to lend a hand to friends and neighbors in the repair of anything not quite running right. Mark will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 Years, Darlene (nee Bakstad) Tokarski; children, Sierra; and Dustin (Linea); parents Mike and Olga Tokarski; sisters: Marcia (Barry) and Bernice (Alf); brother, Danny (Annamarie); numerous in-laws; and nieces and nephews. Mark was predeceased by his brother Steve Tokarski; father-in-law Pete Bakstad; brother-in-law Gary Schueller; and nephew Keaton Bakstad.  A Celebration of Life was held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Watson Civic Centre, Watson, SK at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Al Hingley.  Others taking part were: Teresa Weisgerber, scripture reader; Darren Bakstad, eulogist; Betty Wittig and members of the United Church Choir; music ministry; Matt Williams, Morgan Schultz and Andrew Voth, special music; Dori Nordick and Teresa Weisgerber, memorial table attendants;  Darrell Bakstad and Danny Tokarski, honorary pallbearers.
