Polly (nee Kudryk) Perdinka
October 9, 1928 – December 31, 2015

It is with great sadness that the family announces Polly’s passing on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at her residence, Lakeview Pioneer Lodge, Wakaw, SK. Polly will be lovingly remembered by her son, Richard Perdinka; son-in-law, Marvin McNabb; granddaughter Dawn (Trevor) Button; great-granddaughter Samantha Button; sister Mary Jones; sister-in-law Tina Kudryk; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Dmytro Perdinka; daughter Mary Anne McNabb; parents Alex and Irene (nee Knihiniski) Kudryk; four sisters and three brothers: Nettie Kudryk, Victoria (Onofry) Hyshka, Dora (John) Globak, Ann (Ken) Pascoe, Steve (Helen) Kudryk, John (Wilma) Kudryk, and Peter Kudryk. Polly grew up in the Peterson district. In May 1947, she married Dmytro Perdinka and they also made their home in the Peterson district. Polly was a homemaker, and also assisted with the farming operation. She loved gardening, especially her flower beds, and cooking and baking were also one of her great passions. “On behalf of the family, we wish to thank all the dedicated staff at Lakeview Pioneer Lodge who loved Polly and took exceptional care of her.” The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Augustine R.C. Church, Humboldt, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Cosmas Epifano, OSB. Others taking part were: Nestor Rokoz, crossbearer; Dawn Button and Ruth Skarra, scripture readers; Nestor Rokoz, intentions; Lester Skarra and Ed Skarra, giftbearers; Barry Kudryk and Laurie Lyman, memorial table attendants; and Richard Perdinka, urnbearer; Dawn Button, eulogist. Music ministry was provided by members of the St. Augustine Parish Funeral Choir. A private family interment service will take place at the Dana Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to Lakeview Pioneer Lodge.
