Riley Ebner
May 14, 1997 – April 19, 2018

It is with broken hearts the family of Riley Trent Ebner of Bruno, SK.  announce his passing on Thursday, April 19, 2018.  He was 20 years of age.  Riley was born on May 14, 1997 to Trent and Michele (nee Weiman) Ebner in Saskatoon. He was raised on a farm near Bruno and grew up helping on the family farm.  Riley attended school in Bruno and graduated in 2015. Upon graduation, Riley began painting with his uncle at R. Bender’s Painting.  He also continued to farm with his parents and that was his true passion.  Riley had dreams of taking over the farm someday and wasn’t afraid of hard work.  Riley loved all sports. Throughout high school he excelled at various sports including badminton, track and field, hockey and broomball.  He also continued with broomball into his few adult years where he played at the National and World level. Riley enjoyed many other hobbies such as hunting, fishing, quadding and snowmobiling.  He was always willing to do anything for his nieces and nephews and loved them dearly.  Riley had a big heart and a humble spirit.  Although he wasn’t often a man of many words, he had a great sense of humor as he found humour in the small things and made them funny for everyone else. Riley will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his parents Trent and Michele (nee Weiman) Ebner; sister Shauna (Lee) Huber and their daughters Hayden and Keira; brother Dustin (Megan) Ebner and their children Ethan and Lahna; sister Tara (Darryl) Cluney and their son, Cohen; paternal grandparents, Dale and Arleen (nee Deibert) Ebner; maternal grandmother Marion (nee Pfeil) Duke and by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  Riley was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Wilfred Weiman.  A Prayer Service was held at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, Bruno, SK on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at 7:30 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Pius Schroh. Others taking part were: Jamie White as organist with members of St. Bruno Parish Choir, music ministry; Jody Kainer (godmother), scripture reader; Shauna Huber, Tara Cluney and Megan Ebner, eulogists.  A Funeral Mass was offered at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, Bruno, SK. on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Pius Schroh. Others taking part were: Jason Bender, crossbearer; Kennedy and Tori White, altar servers; Jody Kainer and Ryan Bender, scripture readers; Mackenzie Kainer, intentions; Ray and Audrey Bender, giftbearers; Jamie White, as organist with guitarist Dion Niebrugge and members of St. Bruno Parish Choir, music ministry; Elaine Urban, Valerie Engele and Corinne Thoms, memorial table attendants.  Honorary Pallbearers were the Bruno Axemen Teams and All those who shared in Riley’s life.  Active Pallbearers were:  Dean Ebner (godfather), Brandon Thoms, Danen Thoms, Ty Kainer, Dawson Bender, Jaxon Keehborn, Rider Ebner, Cole Ebner and Carson Ebner.  Interment followed at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bruno, SK.  Memorial Donations may be directed to Stars Air Ambulance 2475 Airport Rd.
