The family is saddened to announce the passing of their wife, mother and grandmother, Susan Luciano (nee King), age 62 years, of Watson, on Sunday, March 6, 2016.  Susan was born on January 9, 1954 in Toronto, ON to Alan and Georgina (nee Stagg) King.  She grew up in Pickering, ON, attending school there and graduating from Dunbarton High School.  Susan entered the work force and worked at a variety of jobs in the next few years.  She met Joe Luciano and they began their life together, venturing west to Saskatchewan in 1978.  She worked at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon for a number of years.  Susan and Joe married in 1985 and in 1994 purchased their first restaurant in Quill Lake, J’s Place.  Over the next 22 years, they operated restaurants in Watson, Carrot River, Naicam and back to Watson in 2013 with their present restaurant, Alexandra’s Vault.  Susan was a people person and loved the restaurant business because she was able to visit with her customers daily.  Over the years, she enjoyed crocheting, landscaping their yards with beautiful flowers and shrubs, and decorating their homes.  Her family was most important to her and she especially loved time with her grandchildren.  Susan’s family wish to extend their sincere thanks to all of the staff at St. Paul’s Hospital, 5th Floor, Medical Unit for the excellent care that she received while a patient there.  Susan will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband, Joe Luciano of Watson; four children and five grandchildren:  JoJo Luciano and son Ethan Wallace of Aberdeen, Dani (Darryl) and children Jordan and Austin Young, Anthony (Lindsey) and children Ashton and Drake, and Alexandra (Steven Bedard), all of Watson; her father, Alan King of Lindsay, ON and six brothers: Gord (Millie) of Port Perry, ON and Allen, Gerry (Paula), Wayne (Joanne), Robbie, and Donald, all of Lindsay, ON.  She was predeceased by her mother, Georgina King (2009).  A Celebration of Susan’s life was held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Alexandra’s Vault, Watson.  Memorial donations in Susan’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Humboldt & District SPCA.
