William “Bill” Tkaczyk
May 13, 1927 – January 7, 2018

 

William “Bill” Karl Tkaczyk of Central Parkland Lodge Lanigan, SK passed away peacefully at his residence the morning of January 7, 2018.  He was 90 years of age.  Bill was born in Humboldt, SK on May 13, 1927, the second oldest of eight children. He attended school at Elmsville, and assisted on the family farm near Attica. Bill married Vivian Johnson July 18, 1958, and they settled on their farm at Attica to raise their family of three boys and three girls.  Bill will be fondly remembered for his love and passion of the farm life that remained with him until his passing.  Bill is survived by his loving children Terry Tkaczyk; Carolyn (Dennis) Neugebauer; Patrick (Gail) Tkaczyk; Paulette (Terry) Pryma; Frederick Tkaczyk (Nana); Lori (Karl) Carmen; grandchildren: Crystal (Kelly), Denise (Jody), William, Amber, Craig, Tamara, Darci; Gregory (Donna), Cody; Curtis; Elizabeth, Ashley, Dean;  great-grandchildren:  Isabelle; Shayne, Vivian, Josephine; Theo; Hesper; one sister, Eva Black; plus extended family members. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife Vivian (nee Johnson) Tkaczyk, March 3, 2009; parents Fred and Olga (nee Bay) Tkaczyk; brothers: Nick, Ted, Donald; and sisters: Mary, Delores, and Kathy.  Family is ever so grateful to staff at Lanigan Hospital and Lodge for their support, kindness, and special care during the last few months. Dad - we will miss you dearly. A Funeral Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Lanigan, SK on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Greg Smith-Windsor.  Others taking part were: Fred Tkaczyk, crossbearer; “Bill’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren” honorary pallbearers; Karl Carmen and Dean Carmen, urnbearers.  Interment followed in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.   Memorial Donations may be directed to the St. Mary’s R.C. Cemetery Fund or the Central Parkland Lodge, Lanigan, SK.
