If Saskatchewan wants a shot at the Brier title in Regina, they'll need to lay it all on the line Friday.

The final day of the championship pool takes place with two games for the eight teams who qualified for the extra four games.

On Thursday, Saskatchewan and St. Gregor's Kirk and Dallan Muyres split the day, defeating Alberta 8-6 before falling to Canada 5-4 in an extra end.

That dropped their record to 5-4, making it a tough climb to the playoffs.

They'll need to win both games Friday and have Alberta lose both games in order to secure a tiebreaker opportunity.

Team Sask meets Mike McEwen's Wildcard team at 2:00pm before taking on Nova Scotia at 7:00pm.

Alberta battles two of the teams tied for first place - Ontario and Northern Ontario.
