The Senior Bruno Axemen will play for "B" side gold Saturday at the National Broomball Championships in Almy, Quebec.

The Axemen, fresh off a provincial championship in Humboldt last month have put together a record of 4-2 to land them in the consolidation title game.

The opened the tournament with a 4-2 loss to the Palmerston Rookies on Wednesday but they reeled off three straight victories to put themselves in a good position heading to the playoffs. They were victorious over the Stephenville Icebreakers 4-2; then they edged the Quebec Patriots 2-1; that was followed by a 4-1 triumph over the Quebec Gladiators.

On Friday morning they fell 2-1 to the defending champions the Ottawa Nationals.

In the semi-final they nipped the Manitoba Bisons also 2-1.

As of 8 o'clock Friday night their opponent is not yet known, the game starts at approxximately 8:10am.
