It promises to be a big day on Sunday for the Bantam AA Humboldt Broncos in multiple ways.

For the first time this season, the Broncos will be playing the Yorkton Terriers in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League. Both teams are leading their divisions entering the game, with Yorkton continuing momentum from their championship season one year ago.

During the game, the team will be holding their second annual teddy bear toss.

All fans who bring a new or gently-used teddy bear will receive free admission. In the second intermission, the bears will be tossed on the ice before being collected and donated to charities in Humboldt, including Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Puck drop is 11:45am.

On Saturday night and the front-end of a two game homestand, the Bantams took a 6-3 decision over the Regina Pat Blues.

A tightly contested game saw the two sides even at 1-1 after the first period, and 3-3 after 40 minutes.

The Broncos took over in the third frame, with Blake Allan giving Humboldt a 4-3 lead before Logan Barlage added two more, ensuring a win - their tenth of the season.
