Easton Ediger scored 2:24 into overtime as the Bantam AA Humboldt Broncos defeated Northeast 6-5 on Wednesday night.

Ediger's goal came after the Wolfpack had tied the game late to force the extra period.

Humboldt had trailed early in the third period before scoring two goals to take a 5-4 lead.

Austin Berezowski had two goals for the Broncos, with Tyler Lindal, Deiondre Boychuk, and Nolan Allan contributing the other tallies.

In a rarity, only one penalty was called all throughout the game, as both teams adapted to the quick pace setting.

Ashton Dagenais got the win in goal for Humboldt, who has one remaining regular season game in Martensville on Saturday.

The Broncos will get a bye for the first round of playoffs as a top five seed. They are currently fourth overall in the North Division.
