Two of Humboldt's AA hockey programs will be in the northeast part of the province Tuesday night, as new playoff series begin.

The Bantam AA Broncos, fresh off a series sweep of the Battlefords Barons will head to Tisdale to meet the North East Wolfpack in Game 1 of their best-of-three series.

Humboldt had one win in three attempts against the Wolfpack during the regular season.

North East finished second overall in the North Division, giving them a bye in the first round of playoffs.

It is the second straight year the two teams meet in the postseason, after Humboldt won in two games last season in the division semi-finals.

Game 2 of the series is in Humboldt Saturday afternoon, with a potential third game in Tisdale on Sunday.

In Melfort, the Peewee AA Broncos look to continue their momentum against the Melfort Mustangs in Game 1 of their series.

Humboldt, who finished fifth in the standings, went 2-1-1 in the regular season against the Mustangs, with the two wins being 4-3 and 7-3 margins in January.

The Broncos host Game 2 on Friday night, with the potential deciding game on Sunday afternoon in Melfort.
