Jayden Bindig's Wadena based curling team will have a chance to advance straight to the championship final at the Under 18 Curling Provincials in Swift Current.

Bindig defeated Brett Behm of Moose Jaw 6-5 on Friday morning to move on to the 'A' qualifying final.

They'll take on Garrett Reddekopp at 5:30pm on Friday with the winner heading to Sunday's final. The loser will have a chance to reach the playoffs in additional qualifying games.

Bindig's foursome of Nathen Pomedli, Braden Fleischhacker and Ethan Nygaard won 8-7 in their opening game on Thursday.

They are one of two Wadena teams at the tournament.

In the Open division, Amy Fedak's team lost 7-1 in the 'A' final, and will now play in the 'B' semifinal at 2:00pm.
