The Broncos have ten wins already this season through just 13 games, their most recent coming in Kindersley via a 5-1 romp of the Klippers Saturday night.

The green and gold, obviously much improved this season didn't pick up their tenth victory until December 18th of the 2015-16 campaign.

Their record is now 10-2-0-1, tops in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Michael Korol, who scored the Broncos first and final goals of the contest was happy with the way they responded following Friday's dismal outcome in Nipawin.

"For sure, obviously Friday night in Nipawin, it's a very tough rink to play in but we're not using that as an excuse. I am just super glad how we responded tonight versus Kindersley.

The Klippers did spot themselves a lead early in the first period, Sam Binfet slipped behind Humboldt's defence while short-handed and Binfet beat Garrett Mason for his first of the year spotting the home side a quick 1-0 advantage.

That would be where their scoring would stall.

Korol tipped a Stephan Wack point shot past Gunnar Nielsen to tie it 1-1 with his fourth. Chris Van Os-Shaw picked up the second assist. Connor Swystun would get the eventual game winner late in the first, also from Van Os-Shaw as the Broncos took a 2-1 lead to the break.

The Klippers hung tough through the middle stanza with no one scoring but then 17 year-old Erik Gardiner took over cashing in a rebound early in the final frame on the power-play from Parker Wakaruk and Dante Raposo, he then snapped his second of the game and sixth of the season past Nielsen from Daniel McKitrick and Swystun making it 4-1 with just under a dozen minutes to play.

Taking a chance down by a trio of goals, Kindersley pulled Nielsen for an extra attacker with three minutes to play, Korol would find the empty net with two seconds remaining to cap the scoring.

The third-year Bronco added it was nice to get the two points back over Kindersley considering they did beat Humboldt earlier this month at the Elgar Petersen Arena.

"They played a very good game in Humboldt there and we still had that in the back of our minds coming here tonight. I think we answered the bell."

Mason rock steady again making 24 stops for his league leading eighth victory. Nielsen kept his team it kicking aside 23/27 including a handful of big stops especially in the first period when the Broncos were buzzing all around his net.

Special teams were one-sided as well, the Broncos were 2/4 on the power-play, Kindersley finished 0/3.

The Broncos will take Sunday off before returning to the ice Monday for practice. Tuesday night the Melfort Mustangs make their first regular season visit to the EPA, face-off is 7:30.

Elsewhere Saturday night, Melfort edged the Melville Millionaires 3-2, the Battlefords exploded in Estevan embarrassing the Bruins 10-3 and Weyburn blanked the Flin Flon Bombers 5-0.
