For the second time in eight days and fourth time this season, the Humboldt Broncos were on the winning end against the Notre Dame Hounds.

Logan Hunter scored a pair of goals to continue his stellar rookie season as the Broncos skated to a 4-3 win.

Head Coach Darcy Haugan says that Hunter has shown significant growth in his first season.

"He has been really good. He comes to the rink with the right attitude each and every day and he has some veterans to learn from and he has become a real student of the game."

After acquiring Nick Shumlanski from the Flin Flon Bombers at the trade deadline, Hunter has been placed on the top line with Shumlanski and Logan Schatz.

The Broncos' Captain had a pair of assists on Hunter's goals to move his season total to 59 points - third overall in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.

Former Hound Kaleb Dahlgren continued to burn his old team, scoring his fourth goal in five games against Notre Dame this season.

Graysen Cameron scored the winning goal in the third period, taking the puck off the boards and swinging it on net, somehow finding an open space on a sharp-angled shot.

In goal, the Broncos had another strong start as Parker Tobin followed up Jacob Wassermann's performance on Friday with a 28 save win.

The Broncos visit Kindersley on Wednesday in a neutral site game in Macklin before hosting La Ronge and Flin Flon on Friday and Saturday.
