As some were without power on Wednesday night in Humboldt, there was no shortage of electricity at the Elgar Petersen Arena.

A back and forth game saw the Humboldt Broncos skate away with a 6-5 win over the Flin Flon Bombers.

It was Flin Flon who got the scoring started at the midway point of the first period, scoring two goals in a matter of two minutes to go up 2-0 on the scoreboard.

The Broncos would replied just over one minute later with Logan Boulet depositing his second goal of the season.

In the second period, Humboldt would tie the game 2-2 with a power play goal from Brayden Camrud.

The two sides exchanged goals to close out the middle frame, with Flin Flon taking a 3-2 lead before Jacob Leicht scored his second goal in as many games for the Broncos.

It was the third period where the goals came fast and furious, with a total of five being scored in 10 and a half minutes.

Logan Hunter gave the Broncos a momentary lead 3:36 into the third, when he scored his third goal of the season on the power play.

Flin Flon had their own man advantage marker to tie the game 4-4, with Broncos captain Logan Schatz breaking the tie once again just 54 seconds later.

At 9:51 of the period, Calvon Boots brought the game back to even, with Jordan Bogress putting the Broncos over top for good with six minutes left.

Humboldt was forced into a 6-on-4 penalty kill in the game's final minute after Flin Flon pulled their goaltender and the Broncos wound up in the box.

Jacob Wassermann got the start after missing a couple of games due to injury. He made 29 saves for his third win of the season.

The Broncos hit the road to Melfort on Friday for their next game, with a return meeting between the two teams at the Elgar Petersen Arena on Saturday night.
