Conner Lukan scored 15 seconds into the game, and after a brief Yorkton pushback, the Broncos rolled to a 10-2 win on Friday night.

Lukan's goal came on the first shot of the game for Humboldt on a feed from Jaxon Joseph.

The Terriers replied 94 seconds later before Xavier Labelle scored his first goal of the season for the Broncos.

Logan Hunter added his first of two goals just over three minutes later to give Humboldt a 3-1 lead through 20 minutes.

The Broncos would add four more goals in the second period. Derek Patter, Matthieu Gomercic, Tyler Smith and Ryan Straschnitzki had the tallies.

In the third, Joseph made it 8-1 Humboldt before Hunter's second goal of the game. Logan Boulet pushed the Broncos in to double digits on his fifth goal of the season.

Following the game, Hunter, who had five points in total, says that things were clicking.

"It was good. I had a couple of bounces that went my way. I have good linemates, and we kept rolling tonight."

The Broncos had three power play goals in the game, which after being a rarity to start the season, has become more of a habit.

"We're moving the puck, and we know where to move it before we get it, and that has helped a lot," explained Hunter. "We're having a shooting mentality now, and that has been huge."

Hunter, a rookie out of St. Albert, Alberta, now has 17 points in 19 games on the season and has established himself as a top scorer among first-year players.

He says that the Broncos have been a good fit for him.

"I love it in Humboldt. It's a great place to play hockey. The fan base is awesome, and every time I step out on the ice it is a dream come true."

The club debuted brand new third jerseys on Friday night. The gold coloured sweaters will be auctioned off at a later date.

Hunter is a big fan: "Unbelievable. I love 'em. Love 'em."

The Broncos (13-6-1-1) travel to Yorkton on Saturday for a return meeting against the Terriers. Faceoff at Farrell Agencies Arena is 7:30pm.

Friday's 10 goal outburst for the Broncos is the first for the team since October 2, 2010, when they defeated Weyburn 10-4.
