The Humboldt Broncos winning streak was halted at ten after losing to the Kindersley Klippers 4-1 on February 16th.

The crowd was packed at the EPA for Family Day but the Broncos were unable to get the faithful on their feet as they were stifled by the tight checking, defensive-minded Klippers.

The first period finished without any goalscoring, as both Klippers goalie Justin Close and Broncos netminder Rayce Ramsay made highlight saves to keep the score tied at nil.

In the second frame, the Klippers found the back of the net twice. Tyler Traptow got the game's opening goal with Will Van Der Sloot following up to double the lead to 2-0.

In the third period, Kindersley chipped two more goals passed Ramsay. Ty Enns picked up his 11th of the year and Noah Bankowski made it 4-0 with his 12th. The Broncos snapped the shutout with three minutes remaining in the game. Riker Franczak picked up his fifth assisted by Bryson Cecconi and Chase Felgueiras. That was all the offence the Broncos could muster up against one of the leagues top goalies in Justin Close.

Kindersley now moves into a tie with the Broncos for the top spot in the Ag Risk Divison. The pair will meet two more times before the season is over.

Up next for the Broncos is a home game inside the EPA on Friday, February 22nd against the Melfort Mustangs before hosting the Klippers once again on the 24th.
