The Broncos have started the season 2-0 after another convincing win over Notre Dame, this time it was 5-2 on the road.

That followed their opening night 5-3 win Saturday.

Assistant Coach Brayden Klimosko is proud of his team's opening weekend.

"You know the top teams all went 2-0 and so did we today, it's a good feeling so far. It's a start, we will see what happens this week but overall we're pretty happy with the win."

Trevor Posch scored twice, Daniel McKitrick and Michael Korol also chipped in with their first goals.

Klimosko credited another second year forward off to a great start.

"It's nice to see some of those guys score those goals early, even a guy like Nic Malenica, I think he scored one goal last year or something, for him to start off the season the way he has is great. Who knows what can happen, the sky is the limit for these guys."

Garrett Mason was solid again in goal stopping 18 of 20 shots for his second win in as many nights.

Korol mentioned during the broadcast how encouraging a perfect start can be moving ahead.

"I think if you can ever start a season with two wins, I think it's huge for everyone's confidence and I think it puts you in a good spot going forward."

Humboldt chased Riley Higdon from the Notre Dame net a night after he stopped 42/47 shots at the EPA. He allowed four on 16 chances Sunday. Payton Porter stopped 9/10 in relief.

The special teams washed each other out, each was 2/6 with the man advantage.

The Broncos will host the Yorkton Terriers on Wednesday night at the Elgar Petersen Arena, face-off is 7:30.
