It's fair to say that the rivalry has officially started between the Broncos and the Bruins. 8 goals, a couple unnecessary hits, multiple late pokes on the goalies, a few fights and 127 penalty minutes later the Broncos came away with a 5-3 victory. They also came away with a grown dislike of the Estevan Bruins that will surely be remembered come November 11th.

After disposing of the Bruins 6-2 in their first meeting of the season. The Broncos expected Estevan to come out with a lot more gusto in their home building.

The Broncos, however, jumped out to the early lead and then doubled it before the end of the first frame courtesy of Riker Franczak and Brayden Camrud.

It seemed throughout the whole game that the Bruins were not really interested in competing, rather attempting to goat the Broncos into extracurricular activities.

Estevan would knot up the game during a brief 5-minute block in the second period where they seemed like hockey was their first focus.

The Broncos would strike again before the middle frame expired off the stick of Josh Patrician on the powerplay. Broncos were 3 for 12 with the man advantage on the night. (Yes that's right 12 power plays)

Micheal McCesney who is a talented goalscorer had two goals in the game for the Bruins, but it wasn't the goals that the Broncos will remember moving forward. He twice landed unnecessary blindside hits on Bronco players, Mitchel Girolami and Michael Clarke. Both with contact to the head and both players would not return to the game. Neither would McChesney as he would get a game misconduct following the Clarke hit.

Other than the litany of penalties that flooded the third period. The Broncos added two more goals. Another scored by Camrud and one by Luke Lonneman. It was Camrud's 5th point on the night as he was involved in all 5 Broncos goals and Lonneman's first career SJHL goal.

Two points were secured for the Broncos to keep them in first place in the division and come November 11th, we'll get a third glimpse of this rivalry that has may have already hit the boiling point.
