Special teams woes was the game's story as it wasn't the Broncos night in Kindersley.

After dropping a 5-1 defeat by the hands of the Notre Dame Hounds five days before, a decent break without games was thought to reset the Broncos and get them back to the strong, fast 60-minute effort we've seen throughout the beginning of the year.

This was not the case as Kindersley was the team that was on the puck throughout 60 minutes.

Two goals in the opening frame put the Broncos in a 2 goal hole for the second straight game.

An early second-period goal from Zach McIntyre had it looking like the Broncos would shake off the first period and come out swinging in the second. However, penalty issues and a Kindersley powerplay that went 4 for 6 throughout the night kept them in the hole for the remainder of the game.

2 more powerplay goals in the second stretched the lead to 4-1. Twelve seconds into the third it was the other special team, the penalty kill, that tacked on the 5th goal shorthanded. That would stomp out any hope of a Bronco third period comeback.

One more late minute powerplay goal for the Klippers was the 4th goal on 6 attempts. Which blow after blow is crushing to try and gain any momentum during the game.

Special teams often decide games. And the script was no different tonight.

The Broncos fell to the Klippers 6-1.

The Broncos will look to get back on the saddle Friday, October 19th on the road when they take on the Melville Millionaires.
