For the second straight game versus Estevan the Broncos have started flat footed and given the Bruins a four goal cushion in the first period.

Saturday night in Estevan the Bruins cruised to a 6-2 win with a scare in the second, Thursday night at the Elgar Petersen Arena, they pushed back to within three at one point but essentially the visitors sailed to a 7-3 ousting of the green and gold.

"We definitely trumped Saturday's debacle there so there's not too many people happy within our camp here," Head Coach Darcy Haugan frustratingly stated on the post game show. "We're trying to let the dust settle here a little bit and figure out what's the best way to send a message to a lot of guys on our hockey team."

Lynnden Pastachak got the party started for the Bruins just a baker's dozen in as he put a rebound past a stunned Carter Seminuk silencing the home town crowd.

Levi Barnstable, Matt McNeil and Josh Reiger all beat Seminuk in the first, he was pulled after allowing four on 17 shots. The Broncos were out shot 17-7 in the first frame.

It didn't get better, Hayden Guilderson and Matthew Kesserling added on making it 6-0 not even four minutes into the second period.

The green and gold would find life in the middle stanza, Josh Roberts wristed his third of the year past Curtis Meger making it 6-1, Luke Kempf made it 6-2 shortly thereafter.

The four goal lead stood through 40 minutes, Connor Swystun fired his second of the campaign during a 5-on-3 power-play chance but that was as tight as the score would become, Brendan Mark finished scoring getting his first after a deflection off a Bronco stick in front.

"As you replay that horrible, horrible period in your head there is a lot of stuff that we want to erase but a lot of stuff we have to learn from," Haugan continued. "I think the biggest thing right now is we need to get our guys hungry again, they are complacent right, and key guys."

Garrett Mason turned aside 13/16 in relief of Seminuk who suffered the loss. Meger was 26/29 in the win.

The special teams were equal at 1/6 aside.

Humboldt will now head back to the drawing board and prepare for the Flin Flon Bombers Saturday night at 7:30.

This was the lone game on Thursday's Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League schedule.
