After a long few days of high school finals, the Fillies were back in action on Friday, January 25th when they travelled to Nipawin to take on the North East Aces.

Sydney Martin got the start in net for the Fillies. Kiana Leicht opened the scoring for the Fillies thirteen seconds into the game. But that torrid pace didn’t hold up as the two teams were unable to find the net again until halfway through the second period when Kalli Stegemann with the Aces tied the game. The Fillies regained the lead six minutes later with a goal from Emma Abrey and then increased their lead to 3-1 courtesy of Kaylee Hofmann. The Aces came out strong to start the third and scored a powerplay goal nineteen seconds in. The Fillies, however, added an insurance goal from Abbie Korte and rode it the rest of the game for a 4-2 final.
