The fire sale continued for the Humboldt Broncos on Thursday.

Five weeks after shipping out their best defender in Greg Moro, the Broncos have now granted the wish of their 20 year-old hometown heartbeat Jarrett Fontaine and moved him to the Viterra division leading Weyburn Red Wings.

Mired in 11th place in the standings with 21 games remaining General Manager Darcy Haugan has had his hand forced to build for the future.

This trade however, unlike the Moro deal which is for futures the Broncos will see an immediate return.

Coming back from the Wings is 18 year-old, 6'3" forward Chris Van Os-Shaw. Humboldt also receives a third round draft pick in this Summer's Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League draft.

We will have reaction from both Fontaine and Haugan Friday during the broadcast of KMK Sales Broncos' hockey from Nipawin. The pre-game show begins at 7:15, puck drop is 7:30.
