Muenster's Brody Frerichs is back in Toronto for the third annual Tournament 12.

Hosted by Blue Jays legend and Hall of Famer Roberto Alomar, the tournament, which gets underway on Tuesday, showcases the top Canadian amateur players with college eligibility.

Frerichs played for the Prairies team last year, which consists of the top players from Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

That team finished the tournament with a record of 1-4, and will no doubt be looking to make a bigger impact in 2015.

Team Prairies gets their tournament under way on Tuesday morning against the Atlantic team.

From there they meet Quebec, followed by the Futures team - composed of the top 2017 and 2018 draft-eligible players in Canada.

A second meeting against Atlantic takes place on Thursday morning prior to the playoffs. The top two teams in each pool advance to the semi-final round.

The final will be played Friday morning, prior to the Blue Jays returning home following a ten game road trip.

Frerichs is eligible to be selected by MLB team's in next year's draft.
