The Humboldt Broncos have now won a season long 7 games in a row with a 5-1 victory to sweep the season series against the Estevan Bruins, four games to none.

The Broncos opened the scoring in the first off the stick of Derek Patter, assisted by Bryson Cecconi and Chase Lacombe. They would double their lead before the opening 20 was over. Drew Warkentine picked up his thrid as a Bronco in as many games unassisted.

In the second, it was the Bruins who cut the lead in half and let the teddy bears rain on the ice during teddy bear toss night at Affinity Place.
That would be all the goalscoring for the Bruins, but not for the Broncos. With just over a minute left in the second, Drew Warkentine potted his second of the game assisted by Logan Foster. The Broncos would take a 3-1 lead into the final frame.

In the final frame, it was Derek Patter scoring his second of the game shorthanded and unassisted to put the Broncos up 4-1. Then the power play clicked to score the final goal of the game. Brayden Camrud netted his 10th powerplay goal on the year for a share of the league lead and gave the Broncos a final victory of 5-1. Dane Dow was brilliant as usual, stopping 42 of 43 on the night.

Next up the Broncos will play their second game of a back to back to back in Weyburn on Friday night.
